Welcome to PicBooth. We’re all about capturing memories, private AI chats, and retro vibes — without the sketchy data practices. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over your info.
1. What We Collect
We only collect what’s needed to run the app and give you the features you expect.
- Account Info: username and email. Passwords are stored encrypted.
- Photos: images you upload or capture in the app, plus internal analysis tags (e.g., mood/emotion labels) used only for your experience.
- Chat Data: messages you send to AI Chat / Pic Chat — stored to power conversations and let you revisit them.
- Device & Usage: basic analytics (device type, browser, app usage) to help fix bugs and improve performance.
2. How We Use Your Info
Short version: to run the app, keep things safe, and make features work.
- Manage your account and saved photo strips.
- Power AI features that analyze photos and chat with you.
- Improve app stability and performance through aggregated analytics.
- Detect and prevent abuse or security issues.
What we don’t do: We do not sell your data, and we do not share your photos or chats with random third parties. We also do not use your private photos or messages to train external public AI models.
3. Storage & Security
We use industry-standard protections to keep your stuff safe.
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Access controls limit who/what systems can read your data.
- When you delete content or your account, we remove it from our active systems and backup retention according to our retention schedule.
4. Sharing Your Data
We only share data when necessary:
- With trusted service providers (hosting, storage, email) who help run PicBooth.
- If required by law or to respond to legal requests (we’ll try to minimize what we share).
Any third party we share with is contractually limited to only what’s necessary and must keep your data protected.
5. Your Rights
You control your account and data. In your account settings you can:
- View the data we hold for your account.
- Download a copy of your photos and chat history.
- Delete individual items or your entire account (permanent deletion follows our cleanup process).

6. About the AI Features
Pic Chat and other AI tools analyze the photos and messages you give them to generate helpful responses. These analyses are kept private and tied to your account.
Important: We do not use your private photos or chats to train public models. Any improvements to our AI use aggregated, anonymized signals if applicable, and never your raw private content unless you explicitly opt in.
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal cookies:
- Session cookies to keep you logged in.
- Basic analytics cookies to measure app health and fix bugs.
No ad-network tracking, no cross-site profiling.
8. Kids’ Privacy
PicBooth is not intended for users under 13. If we learn an account is for a child under 13, we will delete it or take steps to remove the content promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We might update this policy occasionally. If we make major changes, we’ll notify users by email or an in-app notice and update the "Last Updated" date at the top.
